I've been working in London as a freelance photographer since leaving university in 1994, in that time,
I've worked on projects for all sorts of agencies, magazines and newspapers. I have recently completed
my first book on architecture, One thousand buildings of London published by Black dog and Leventhal
in New York. I use fully calibrated digital equipment on live commissions. This produces stunning quality
when used with experience, and is really very quick, so if you're working to tight deadlines then I may
be able to help you, in both production quality and delivery time. I enjoy working closely with art directors
to achieve their vision, but am also capable and comfortable with steering the project also. I hope that you
like the work and if I can be of any assistance to you, then don’t hesitate to get in touch for a chat.
“John’s technical and personal skills mean he brings out the real human story behind our pictures. His
work brings to life the distinctive, diverse nature of what we do. John is a pleasure to work with and we
value the effort and thought he commits to fulfilling a brief - that’s as much about planning beforehand
as on the day.”
David Blackburn, director of human resources and business support at Shepherds Bush Housing Group.
“John’s worked with us on two projects and each time has impressed with his ability to interpret a brief,
provide high quality images and deliver in a timely manner. His highly professional and courteous
manner is much appreciated, both by ourselves and our client, a leading high street bank.”
Kerry Chandler, account director at John Ryan International.
